From practice to platform
Every step began with a real problem.
Not a separate innovation project, but a series of practical solutions that moved closer and closer to one connected growth story.
012013A shop became a place to grow.
Roderick van den Berg opened a thrift shop in Rijswijk. It grew into a reintegration organisation and several social enterprises, always grounded in the same idea: give people opportunity, working rhythm, and room to develop their talents.
022015–18The first tools came from the workfloor.
Spreadsheets, bicycle registration, and ticket-scanning tools made guidance and daily processes easier to understand. Every solution started with something the team needed to do better that same day.
032019Father and son chose one direction.
Sebastiaan joined Roderick. Together they brought the different activities under Dude Goed and connected social practice, entrepreneurship, and technology in one clear direction.
042020Support had to become simpler under pressure.
During the pandemic, the team built a registration and points system to coordinate support requests, visitors, and available help. Technology helped them stay close to people when overview mattered most.
052021Scattered progress became one story.
Moments, goals, attendance, signals, and reports still lived in separate places. This became the foundation of Bloeiindex: making everyday development visible without losing the person behind the information.
062023–todayPractice grew into social tech.
Patatje Sociaal became the home where Bloeiindex and new platforms for social impact continue to develop—with the workfloor as the starting point and technology as a way to move people forward.
